you know you're pregnant when...

The 3rd trimester certainly keeps me laughing! When I thought of being pregnant, the following stories never came to mind as happening to me... but they all most certainly have :) Can you relate?

You know you're BIG and HUGE when...

You're standing at the store's self-checkout trying to pay for your purchases and that annoying automated female declares loudly "please remove all items from the scanner"... you look down and don't see anything there so you figure she's just confused and swipe your card again. The computer condescendingly responds a second time with what seems to be a louder "please remove all items from the scanner [you incompetent looser]!" You suddenly embarrassingly realize it's YOUR GUT on the scanner! All the while the guy behind you in line is turning red in the face as he tries to not burst out in a hearty chuckle! (Don't worry, with laughing tears in my eyes I told him that it was ok, he could let that burst out!)
Or you're at a wonderful restaurant enjoying a date with your man. The server assisting your waiter comes from the kitchen carrying the fabulous dinner you've been craving all day. She guesses at whose order is whose and looks completely perplexed when you insist that the massive steak and good ol' pile of mashed potatoes she just set in front of your husband... well, it's actually yours.
A friend can name any local store and you immediately can tell them the location of all it's restrooms and how much time a good "waddle" will take in getting you there.

And speaking of bathrooms... You wait in line at a public restroom only to realize that you need to let others go before you just so you can have the handicap stall when it becomes available. All because you're to afraid that in the regular stalls there won't be enough room for you to open the door, walk in, turn around, and still be able to shut the door behind you.
You constantly begin to wonder if you have a big ol' target pinned to your abdomen. Wherever you go people seem to be be-lining their gaze straight to your belly but you don't really want to confront them and say "eyes up here please". You figure it's better for them to stare at your roundness rather then make eye contact because their faces are always contorted into either an annoyingly sappy look of awe, or great pity like "oh honey, I feel your pain", or just sheer horror (typically coming from the male population).
You walk out of the grocery store heading toward your car and the woman strutting your direction yells for all to hear "Ooooo Giiiiirl!!!! You gonna have that baby in the parking lot!!" and you happily holler back "If I do, bring a mop and make sure you're there to assist!" and watch HER walk away embarrassed ;)
Ahh, pregnancy... you crack me up so much! Lets have some more fun in these last 7 weeks, ok? Thanks for coming around. You're pretty comical at times :)

Ha! Nice! I love Maryland/Virginia --- I got hollered at in parking lots so many times there. No one would ever do that in New England... unless of course you are blocking traffic :-)
